Ant Control
Ants are annoying pests that many homeowners in Reston end up dealing with. Household ants will build their colonies outside in your yard, and send worker ants in looking for food and water. If you see a few scouts, more ants are likely to follow. Carpenter ants are more than just an annoyance. They can damage your property like termites. They build their homes inside of the wood and will chew into it in order to do that.
Ants can be difficult to kill, because they will keep coming back until you kill the queen so that the entire colony will die. Ant colonies can have to 2000 workers and so it is not enough to simply kill the ants that you see. Many baits will clear up the problem for a bit, but the ants will keep coming back. If you want to end your problems with ants, you should contact the experts at EcoTek. Our technicians will provide a free inspection and correctly identify the pests and create a treatment plan tailor the right ant control treatment specifically to your needs.

How long does a typical treatment take?
Most treatments will take about twenty minutes, but if you have a large home or property, it may take longer. The initial appointment will take about thirty minutes since it also includes the initial inspection.
Do you offer different types of treatment?
We offer both conventional and organic treatments for the majority of insects around the home. The conventional treatments are very effective and safe for your family and pets. The organic treatments are also safe and effective. Termite treatments are only available with conventional treatments, but we have chemical free bait stations.
Will my pets stay safe during the treatment?
Pets need to be removed from your home during each treatment and for four hours after it is completed. This will give the treatment time to dry completely because animals are attracted to it when it is wet.
Is the treatment safe for my family?
The treatment is safe for your family. You and your children can safely be home during the treatment. We use some of the safest products available on the market and our technicians have been trained on how to apply it properly. It is safer than many over-the-counter products you may buy.
Do you have any pest control packages?
We offer three different pest control packages. There is a conventional option, and organic option and a third option that includes termite protection. These packages include quarterly inspections and if you see pests, we will come out to complete another treatment.
What are signs of carpenter ants?
You may see carpenter ants along the edges of your carpet or window sills. They are slightly larger than household ants. If you knock on the wall, it may sound hollow. They may also swarm out of their nests if you knock on the walls.
How can I prevent cockroaches?
The best way to prevent cockroaches is to keep your home clean and free of clutter. Be sure not to leave any food around your house and to do your dishes right away. Fix any leaks in your home and seal the windows to make sure they cannot get in.
How can I prevent bed bugs?
