Ant Control
Ants are industrious insects that work in large colonies of up to 2000 ants. When one ant wonders into your home, more are likely to follow. They send in scouts looking for food and water and if they find it the workers will start to stream in through a steady line. Household ants are a common problem for homeowners in Virginia. Carpenter ants pose a serious danger to your home since they will build their colonies in the wood in your home and cause structural damage similar to termites. Carpenter ants are a bit larger than household ants.
Treating ants on your own can be difficult because the colonies are so large and unless you kill the queen, they will keep coming back. The ant control experts at EcoTek will use a combination of baits and insecticides to effectively treat the ants in your home. They can correctly identify the types of ants, determine how they are getting in and stop ants from being an issue at your house. Contact the experts at EcoTek for a free ant inspection today.

How long does each treatment take?
The initial treatments include an inspection and will take about thirty minutes. Follow-up treatments will take about twenty minutes. If you have a large home or property, the treatments may take longer than you. You can ask for a treatment time based on the size of your home when you schedule an appointment.
Do you offer organic treatments?
We offer both organic and conventional treatments for the majority of infestations. The termite treatments are only available in conventional treatments, but there are chemical free monitoring stations available. Your technician can help you determine the best treatment option for your situation.
Are the treatments safe for my pets and children?
We use some of the safest products on the market. Your children can be at home during a treatment. Pets are attracted to the treatment when it is wet, so we ask that you remove your pets during treatment and for four hours after it is completed to keep them safe.
What if I cannot be home during the treatment?
You do not need to be home during a treatment, as long as you give the technician access to your property when you schedule the appointment. If you are not home, the technician will leave a notecard with the date, time and type of treatment for you.
Do you have any treatment packages?
We offer three different packages. One includes organic treatments. A second includes conventional treatments and the third option includes termite protection. Your technician can discuss the treatment options and help you choose the best package for your situation.
